The old saying in the motherland is, ‘never trust the Turk’. Turkey has established it’s self as a serious regional power and they are milking their strategic geographical position to the max right now. China is benefiting from this by the fact that the US is seriously militarily committed in Ukraine. If China, for argument sake decided to make a serious move on Taiwan right now, and at the same time Putin escalated the conflict in Ukraine further, wouldn’t it make harder for the US to achieve the set goals on the opposite sides of the Globe? Just a theory, but who knows. I am aware that 2 potential conflict spots would require a completely different military strategy, but still.
