I can't watch that clip at the moment but I certainly will later on. I've heard about the molten metal but I've been needing some more information before I can give it a reasonable degree of weight... I heard that it was still there 6 weeks later but I would expect such an intense level of heat to be conducted away unless there was either some excellent insulation or an ongoing heat input. Doesn't mean that it didn't happen, just that I haven't come across any thermodynamic calculations to show it as physically possible.
