Mate when your finished that book be sure to get "beyond candle stick trading (or something like that) by Steve Nison (he claims to be the bringer of candle charts and there interpretations from the founding Japanese traders) it is way more indepth and valuable than your current read (which is a good starter btw).
Mate if your buy and hold kinda guy then candle charts will assist you in timing of entry points. But remember everything is for sale. Selling into exhaustion allows 1 to buy back in at lower prices ;)).
