Hi (phillip_k)
The application by the NWIOA to the ACCC was to get permission to jointly negotiate with BHP-RIO and FMG,instead of individually as is the norm.
BHP said they have no problem with dealing with the three companies as a group.
Regardless of whether the NWIOA have a Chinese Group who is prepared to finance/build the rail/port infrastructure or what ever, they still need to go through the process of trying to get access to the rail systems of BHP,FMG and RIO.
Regards
Westcott.
