Well there was news of improved retail sales, job losses slowing, home sales slumped and factory orders climbed 1.7% overnight, so the DOW finished in green territory. [Source: cnnmoney.com]

There is also news of forecasted price hikes of coal & iron-ore from spot to contract; and last night on the news Alan Kohler mentioned that the market is now undervalued!

The DJIA Index finished the session: Up 47.38 pts; and
The SPI Futures are currently: Up 21 pts.

Of Note in Australia Today: There is nothing of note on the economic calendar for today; and

Of Note in the US Tonight: - The Employment Situation will be reported, as well as Consumer Credit.

Gold is Down $7.10 atm and is currently sitting at $1,132.50/oz (Kitco); Oil is Down $0.66 to $80.21/barrel (NYMEX/Bloomberg); and the AUD/USD is currently trading at 0.8985 cents (Forex. Live).
