You've described a capacitor, and proven you don't know anything about how lithium batteries are designed.
The really hilarious bit is in your very next comment you talk about the higher energy density of petroleum products and don't seem to be worried about the fire hazards of those.
At least batteries can have thermal runaway protection circuitry. Petrol tanks don't.
