A $1.50 bid would not be accepted by management IMHO. They know the metrics and they know what they have got. I would expect that the sp in the absence of shorting should be $1.00+ now .. so a 100% premium would be $2.00 ... which I would argue would be acceptable to many ... but not all.
Its all conjecture regarding a T/O. Just as likley is that shorters started covering.
