IMO OPEC has thought us a lesson in "Self Interest"

Countries generally and particularly western capitalist
countries act in self interest and IMO so should Aus.

That self interest has two major components, IMO:
(a) National security self interest
(b) Economic security self interest.

So, IMO our interest in the Ukraine War should be
underpinned by (a) & (b) above.

What outcome would provide Aus with the best outcome?
-(1) a Ukraine win (Russian troops driven out of the Ukraine)
-(2) an ongoing war like that of the Afghan war
-(3) a quick truce/settlement

At present we seem to be barracking for (1) but
is that the best outcome for Aus in terms of (a) & (b) above?

I simply dont know because there has not been enough Aus focused
Ukraine war analysis yet. I guess the wise guys will come up
with the "post mortem" analysis in 10 years time with a lot of
"ifs & could haves"
