If you understand the nature of their business and how reliant they are on the business model of parts and maintenance, you'll see that this cannabilises their own business. That's why not have not committed to going full electric. They want to continue to sell "hybrids".
They'll have a Kodak moment soon enough. They're also quite incapable it appears of getting an EV to market (maybe it's intentional) - where the wheels literally can fall off.
