You have to take it with a pinch of salt, however much you 'trust' the source.
I spoke to a director of another explorer very recently who was of the opinion that if we were waiting for Areva to t/o Marenica, we'll be waiting a long time.
Now, that's only one person's view, and nobody really knows what's going on behind the scenes, but it pays to temper comments like this with your own gut and research.

Nothing is a given here, clearly, as the SP is in limbo.
Doesn't change the fact that the fundamentals, on paper at least, look unbelievably strong.

Perhaps Areva might be more of a hindrance than a help.
The assumption is that they are the likely (and possibly sole) candidate for Marenica's U308 ... and if they really were the only interested party, then perhaps we aren't going to get as much for our U as we think. We need a bit of competition.

I would have thought that another smart insti or two might spot an opportunity here to take a large stake, as it would give them some bargaining power with the French and drive the price up in any negotiation.

Long way to go here, and we may even see another dip before we build again, but over the medium to long term you'd have to believe that such startling fundamentals will win through.
