Mixed feelings, you have to pay up for the right people, but it does seem a bit over the top. Kudos to him for negotiating such a sweet deal!
That being said, his performance rights still need to be approved by shareholders at the next AGM this month. Will we be seeing a flurry of announcements and an increase in the share price to justify their bonuses?
I'm not worried in the short term and stand by my sentiment of accumulating at these prices, it doesn't take a genius to see that almost every stock and sector is in the same boat. This isn't just some exploration or research company with some drilling rights, hopes, wishes and rocket emoji's of what they want to achieve. If the macro environment continues on its current trajectory I expect the stock price to fall with it, as will most stocks. Is it the end of the world as we know it, who knows. Are the central banks set on their path of plunging us back into the 70's or will they pull back? Who knows. Plenty of predictions out there that are all contradictory on what the next couple of years hold. Apparently some believe there will be a recession in the next 6 months, I think these eejits have lost touch with reality, we're already in a recession and probably have been for 6 months or more. The price got ahead of itself early in the year and I think a lot of damage was done by the pump and dump crowd that stalk Hotcopper. Some people seem fixated on where we are in relation to the ATH, they need to forget about that and look at the company as a whole, LTH's know this.
