He's not mocking your financial situation, you're unlikely to lose anything on your investment if you sell during better times in my opinion, but there's nothing to upramp here and no need for anyone to downramp. These are not good times. The stage 3 tax cuts, making the highest tax bracket 30% are kicking in in 2024, meanimg if holding for longer than 12 months the 50% CGT discount should bring it down to 15%. Long term looks good
