I highly recommend investors watch the Navig8 keynote, it's fairly long so the tl;dr takeaway is here:
(1) HC3 introduces many more content types and therefore use cases (2) New applications developed by nearmap as part of vertical strategy into commercial, insurance sectors - should improve stickiness and margin (3) HC3 is much more efficient - reduce costs (4) HC3 first content in NA will be off-leaf Autumn flights (5) HC3 first content in AU is already online for Newcastle (6) AI content types is growing very fast - can't see any company keeping up with this - this will move NEA closer into the sectors as value-add (7) AI for Impactresponse - no need for insurance companies to have their own modelling/software teams - sounds like the nearmap applications can be used out of the box for a growing list of use cases -e.g show all properties with damage in an entire suburb
After watching it - hard to not be bullish for this company. Seems a shame to sell after capex for HC3 and AI is derisked and growth still > 25%. Hard to see this company losing momentum in NA.
Seems the risk appetite of the board has changed -perhaps board renewal / chair/ ceo succession is needed.
dyor imo
