Biggest load of BS I have read this month! My Tesla cost less before any incentives than a similar specked Hyundai. Cant buy a decent Hilux unless you spend 1000s $ more and dont get me started on what you have to spend on a High end Landcruiser, so your statement of only people with Big pockets buying EV is crap.
Think you will find the Liberal government were against EV as a former Prime Minister said they were useless. So while mine fills up on free power from the sun and I have zero servicing costs I will laugh at all the doubters!
Also plenty of cheaper option like BYD now coming on the market! and the driving experience is awesome, so discounts are given to incentivise doubters into new technologies. EV will pay road tax soon enough, already are in Victoria but by then I will be a rusted on EV owner and they will fleece money out of me again!
