Unfortunately it doesn’t always work that way. A well worded and articulate announcement in the first place saying we are slowing things down and BFS will be deferred till March 23 and will reassess in a couple of months would have led to a 10-15% drop possibly.
Now we are 60% down, a positive announcement may lift SP by 50% to say 21c which will be over 40% down. Market will have lost a lot of confidence in this rout; hard to build confidence and much easier to lose it!
Sadly, imo only a solid BFS and/or a good offtake agreement will pull us back.
