@DumMachine....@DM....Have you never seen a power-pole close up? They are made of hardwood. When I was a member of our local SGAP Eucalypts were my specialty. I can asssure you it takes an Eucalypt 70 to 100 years to grow to Lamp-post size.
We are using them faster than we are growing them. Each time a company wants to mill some part of a forest, the usually come out with some nonsense like: "It is only 1% of the forest." Yes indeed 1% of what is left after ;; the other depredations it has suffered over the lpast 200 years.
It is totally uninformed people like yourself, who enable them to proliferate this bull, and wreak havoc upon our forests.
If you are in Aust., juin yiur local SGAP and learn. There are some very knowledgeable people in that organization. They do lots of unpaid restoration work rather than useless protesting, and mindlessly chanting slogans in the street.
