Who's to say that God cannot make the earth in 7 day and make it appear a billion years old! After all.... isn't that the essence of being an all powerfull God, you can do anything .... You must ask yourself ... if there really is a God, surely that could be one of God's achievements ... pales into insignificance against the creation of the universe don't you think ... to make something new seem older.... even a carpenter can perform that trick with furniture! ... We delude ourselves with our own intelligence ... but fail to think outside of the square!! That square could be called religion ... or it could be called science ...
