The deposit looks to be only about 70km inland from the 250k population township of Namibe....most important, it has a port, that has a declared depth of 9.5 metres. Can handle therefore ships of up to 35,000 tons.
More and more we are hearing of direct ship lithium ore - which is the rock spodumene, simply just dug out of the ground, crushed and then sent to port. Investors are very familiar with coal and iron ore exports out of Australia - know as bulk commodities.
Exactly the same thing initially for spodumene ore - except lithium companies are not paid A$120 or A$150 per ton - which is the price for these bulk commodities.....but A$1,400 per ton. SEE BELOW.
I say initially - PLS and Mineral Resources get paid now up to A$ 10,000, after the ore is proceeded to about 5.5% grade. (anyway you know all that)
-----
So a tiny, tiny discover of JORC 2 mt at 1.5% grade and direct shipping of 200,000 tons per annum - (one shipment per month) would mean profits of $260m PA. (cost of production say $80 per ton).
The port is the thing here - even roads by the look of google maps, the drilling rig got in - so I think low risk and unbelievable reward. How does the ease of shipping compare - with you know, that lithium company in Congo ? .

Core Lithium buoyed by first DSO sale of spodumene concentrate at US$951/dmt from Finniss
“The completion of the spodumene DSO tender is an excellent result for Core and indicates the strong demand for lithium,” Core chief executive officer Gareth Manderson said.
