I always love hearing all those comments on how the previous generations "had it easier" what a laugh (note I am latter end Gen X). Each generation has it's own unique challenges to overcome both financially and in other area's of their lives. Life will generally only become easy for you at some point if you work hard and sacrifice at an earlier point in your life. The majority of baby boomers have spent decades getting to their current positions in life so it just didn't happen overnight like some seem to think.
I look at my parents (baby boomers) and they have struggled financially all their lives and still do today - so while there are some baby boomers that appear to have allot there are many that don't have that much at all. It is all about your own life planning.
The way some of these comments are you get the idea that the whingers must have grown up in an environment where they didn't have to struggle - hence they think life was easier for their parents generation, and expect to have things come easier to them. I and many others on the other hand grew up in environments where money was always a struggle so I know that things don't come easy or in many cases quickly, and the only way to get ahead in life is by going out there and doing it!
