The idea that we must CR $870m right now, or we won't get the grant, is a flat out lie, and a completely false premise spread by the usual downrampers.
The $870m is actually a number that Novonix came up with as part of its long term goals and vision. The government didn't come up with that number, and isn't going to punish the SOLE supplier of battery-grade graphite in the United States if Novonix somehow fails to carry out its mission.
