FMG price chart below shows that between 2013 to all the way to 2019 share price was between $1.42 to $6 AUD, now i don't know if there was any share dilution in between but just going by share price that was the range it was.
i believe FMG had debt that time but it is no different today including expenses upcoming from FFI not considered.
IO price between 2013 to 2019 was between $150 USD to $45 range as below from https://tradingeconomics.com/commodity/iron-ore
so based below i don't see why share price or how share price is influenced by IO price ? it seems more like influenced by dividend that was paid by FMG to shareholders & debt level at given time ... in my opinion which is in third chart below. i missed putting forex rate in this one
so real question will be more around debt level plus dividend then IO price isn't it ?
