To Answer your question " I wonder why would someone resign as a non-exec director " if you mean Dr Kelly ? I would say being close to 80 he earned the right to retire.
Mr market is a moron that's why it is the best platform to make money on other people's ignorance and fear.
If i was a gambling man, which i am not -- I would speculate that the company will need to provide trial results next week before they seek out a Big pharma investor at the conference next week.
