IMO net zero will never come into effect in Australia! Eventually the public will wake up, come to their senses and choose quality of life over poverty and the climate agenda! We are probably 6 government changes away from 2030 anyway, with the rate governments are falling around the world. Eventually we will get a government who will govern for the people and not the 1% and elite! Perhaps before people wake up to how much it will cost them to replace an EV battery and continue feeding the profits of the 1%.

Truss gone in the UK, shortly after Boris, Macron lost majority in France, Germany on it’s knees, Biden about to lose majority in the USA in a few weeks. I call it the Zelensky Effect! The final nail in the coffin of woke governments around the world. The Pandemic couldn’t quite do it, now the current global focus on Ukraine with sanctions and massive amounts of money getting sent to Ukraine is fuelling the inflation issues to a point of no return. While also self destructing energy security in all these countries. Large protests starting up all across Europe, set to escalate into the winter months when things really get bad with rolling blackouts etc imo. Huge issues with a cost of living crisis right now and the people are not happy! Just wait until companies close down due to high energy costs like they are in Germany and people then lose their income streams. The protests are going to accelerate big time! Do you really think these people are going to care about wind turbines, battery tech, EV’s when they can’t even put a hot meal on the table?

BPT looking good long term so if woke climate investors sell out, they will be replaced, it’s good news to turn over the register! The companies reserves may slightly reduce short term, but if you read the report, massive amounts of investment and attention is getting spent on exploration, especially in WA! We will take a short term hit now but it seems management have a medium to long term view with how they are operating. Also, good cashflow means we have the ability to purchase assets and potential acquisitions. No doubt it will be more difficult for junior companies in this difficult market where borrowing becomes more expensive in high inflation rate settings. Also, as investors steer clear of more risky low cap companies and focus on larger cap revenue making companies. This puts us in the box seat to take advantage of good deals coming up in desperate times. Plenty to like about the company and I won’t be lectured by some posters in here who have never held or have always held a negative view of the company. A solid long term investment for when the market turns imo. Much higher oil and gas prices are coming after the US mid term elections and in the middle of the northern hemisphere winter imo.
