A big thums up from me for providing a bit of background (and the references) on the macro scene.

On my first read through I have picked up thes key points:

Forget the clap-trap of the mainstream media. They have less idea than us and only peddle the line as fed to them by the big boys. (So I'm not listenihng to them on the Shell bid and will hang out for VALUE).

The energy requirements are HUGE and as you say "a moving target" What is it...still some 700m Indians geting their energy from wood and animal dung? They'll want a slice of modern energy pretty soon.
