a well designed tax system could do that. Unfortunately we don’t have that.

the original post here was referencing a 100% windfall tax. That is hardly well-designed.

do you advocate that as well??

pure economic theory says that tax on profit needs to fund basic services and welfare and also encourage further investment for employment etc.

high tax rates will choke investment and leave us in a worse position.
