Swuzzle, ChiefJ would be the most knowledgeable on what drilling had been done in the upper levels but I think not much. We already know about several payable reefs in the upper zone though.
The decline could be in payable ore almost immediately. If they use the MS creek adit then Stackpooles reef runs along the walls and there is a reef on level2, Shamrock and Dickensens on level3/4. If they used the creek adit they would enter on level2 I think but they may identify a better starting point. In Peter Hepburn-Brown, Greg Curnow and Mott Ryan we have excellent planners and executors so I'll happily leave it to them to take forward.
So if they can use a 1 in 7 gradient that would mean 2km to get down to l9 Maxwells zone for $10 mil but plenty of payable reefs before getting there.
I don't know how many metres per day a decline can proceed at and it would depend on rock hardness and stability etc. Miner Joe would probably have an idea on this decline discussion so lets hope he joins in. I just read it when I researched Mott Ryan and it stuck in my mind.
As for the earliest all this could happen- well I don't expect them to rush into anything, the success of the last 12 months has been built on getting a great team on board and methodically going about building things for the long term. So my advice is to just sit back and let the people who know do their business for the benefit of all us shareholders.
