Perhaps you have not been paying attention. They don't hurt me or anything, it's not a problem for me and if it was I wouldn't post, and it hasn't been happening recently, but I've definitely had some clear, explicit abuse and hatred directed my way for my bearish posts. I don't especially care if people want to post or think such things, I'm not crying about it, just pointing out that it doesn't make much sense to shoot the messenger and it looks silly down the track when it's clear I was correct. Another reason I point it out is that I'm no stranger to voicing unpopular facts (if everyone agrees and a dozen people have already said it, I see no point in posting, but if no one is saying something which should be said I'm more prone to it, because it's needed, even if unpopular) and people complain much less if the post which would otherwise be highly likely to induce angry responses has a preemptive reference to whingy responses.

If you feel sufficiently inclined, feel free to read back over my posts between late last year and early this year, with some a bit more recent. There has been some pretty nasty stuff. Again, not that it bothers me and sometimes I find it amusing, but it's not conducive to productive conversation, and often I have avoided posting when it seems likely to cause a conversational devolution into pointless nonsense. I didn't at all mean to imply I was referring to you.
