watso aging mother goes to some oldies group - you know the deal, some van picks up a load of oldies, and takes them to a community centre. watso saw a photo of the group, and watso mother mentioned the old guy, with a bandage on his head - it seems that 67 years ago (second world war) he got a beating by the germans - and the wound has never healed - so one assumes that he got a proper beating, and that probably affected him for life.
