To quote the analyst on Business Channel: "Telstra has been a capital killer for a decade. Why would you bother?"
In my opinion this is an example of people falling madly in love with a stock, they are mesmerised and can't let go. If something was destroying my capital like TLS has destroyed shareholders' capital I would most certainly have ditched them a long time ago and moved the money into something with a bit more upside. Not only has TLS destroyed capital, there has been a huge opportunity cost as well.
