I doubt Merck will be Imm until after approval of Efti/Keytruda combo and after price is set. If Merck tries to extend its Keytruda franchise by buying IMM then marketing the combo it is going to run into headwinds
It would be a lot easier to buy IMM at a premium say twenty billion if it guarantees futures sales of 20 billion a year from combination therapy.
That’s the approach that may have already been determined and why directors want rights over cash
