Just correcting my own post, above. I had misunderstood the NZ item.
Mobil in New Zealand is selling 183 petrol stations and a 19.2 per cent stake in the New Zealand Refining Company, the country's only oil refinery.
Neither of the bidders for the NZ Mobil stations is named. The story about the changes to the Shell operation is separate.
Chevron's New Zealand business includes about 180 Caltex petrol stations and a 13 per cent stake in the New Zealand Refining Company.
Is there potential for Caltex Australia to be involved?
