@Tri2 here's a different approach to averaging down
sell, take the capital loss (don't claim it or else ato won't take kindly to the "wash sale", immediately rebuy and boom. Lower cost Base average.
If you're Long i don't think it matters a great deal.. in 12 months time you'll rerecive the 50% reduction on any captial gain should u decide to sell some stock..
just a thought.. different perspective
