Yes...Parasang was (initially) a Persian measure of length (about 5 1/2 Kilometres), but later was also adopted by the Greeks....
And Yes....The temple of Artemis in Ephesus (not far from Smyrna....Aaah....Ancient Greek Civilisation in Greek Asia Minor...) was one of the ancient 7 wonders of the World, as was the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, also in Asia Minor, also Greek, built by another Artemis (Artemisia, to be precise)for her husband of Caria, Mausolus......

PS. A true story: Few years ago, a friend of mine (Australian) visited Turkey and ancient Ephesus with a few others, on a tour...
The Turk tour-guide (a university graduate, 25ish ) started explaining all about the Temple AND "Diana" the Roman goddess...Not a word about Artemis , Greeks OR the Artemisium Of Ephesus as it was called (after Artemis).....After about 10 minutes of cunning anti-Greek, Anti-Historical lies, my friend could not take it any longer: He stopped and started telling her ALL THE TRUE STORY ABOUT Artemis and Her Temple (Daughter of Zeus and sister of Appolo, she was).....The Turk guide became quite irate and started telling him off and not to ...believe the Greeek(!!!) propaganda etc....When my friend told him he was Australian and a Hitory lecturer, the tour guide changed immediately the subject and started talking about...Galipoli!!!!
