    I think the article is interesting and right in that forestry tasmania is really an arm of the government and is acting as an employment agency. In that sense it is clear why its returns are so low as it is subsidising the industry effectively. As for Gunns profits well we know what has happened to those so it looks like the good days are gone. I suppose that is why thet want to shift to the pulp mill and plantations as the native business is going to steadily dry up.....so no real surpise in this article....
