They wouldn't be holding it off all day yesterday and probably today to announce an update or negative news on Wednesday. They are trying to grab as much attention as possible by leaving it in TH IMO, because they want the positive news to spread far and wide across all the major media outlets.

I also had a reply from B. Fitzgerald who wrote the last article about MEO in The Age. He said they would do a follow up piece once the announcement came out.
