Do you need to ask such simple questions? Russia wants to win and needs more troops. Their so called "special operation" to take just a few pieces of Ukraine has turned into them wanting the whole thing now, so they need more troops. All Russia has to do is keep Ukraine's electricity off and within 4-6 weeks the government will collapse. Now can Russia keep their electricity off? I think so but doesn't mean it is 100% going to happen. Have to wait and see.

Crom Valen has pointed out something I overlooked about people in this thread and why just giving up and letting Russia be the government, which would have resulted in much fewer deaths was never an option. It is because they believe Russia is against LGBTQ+ people and that is completely unacceptable. So this war isn't about Ukraine at all, it is about removing a country they think is against their people and their progressive values.

When viewed through this lens a lot of what they post here makes sense. They want Russia destroyed and their progressive values installed in its place. I think this war to many in this thread has so little to do with Ukraine and more about them worrying about them being victims in the future. Which is why they also keep mentioning "RWNJs" which is another group they want destroyed for the same reasons. If they were honest with what they were doing I think they would earn more respect but it is in their nature to be secretive about it.
