    Yes I've posted on the food insecurity issue previously - but as far as blame it entirely on the Russians, no.

    They have exploited and exasperated the situation to their advantage and to the disadvantage of others a part of a hybrid war strategy with dual aims to deny Ukraine a vital source of income and to exasperate inflationary pressures on foods - (lots of foods need to cook in oils - one of the highest ongoing costs in a food/hospitality business) and of course secondary effects in the developing world pushing starving people into either civic disobedience or toward an illegal immigration path to Europe.
