"I also believe (as do others) that NdPr will never be replaced. So NOT a fad. No substitute; "
You claim to be a scientist and you make this statement!!! I suppose if you lived 3000 years ago you would have said olive oil would never be replaced as a lighting source. And 400 years ago, whale oil as lighting source. 150 years ago Kerosine
Then incandescent lights. Then CFLs Now LEDs. I do not know when but I have no doubt that REE perm magnets will be replaced. The question is not IF it is WHEN and for that I have no idea.

The below like many other ideas and future ideas, may not work when more study is done. Right now it does show promise but only time will tell if it works.

Tetrataenite. Has been know for many years. It is found in meteorites. it is 50% nickel and 50% iron To make it in a lab took a long time and massive amounts of energy. Now these people have found that by adding phosphorus. It takes about the same energy and time as REE magnets.
Will it work? I do not know. What I do know as REE magnet prices rise and China retains control of even 50% of the source, currently about 80%, more research money will be spent and a replacement will be found.

Look at artificial diamonds GE announced the first commercial made diamonds in 1954. Many believe others had done it long before.
They used a HPTH process. Diamonds were small, were yellow in color, had defects and cost more than natural diamonds. Today using HPTH or CVD The diamonds are any size or color you want, have no defects and are a fraction of price natural diamonds. To say anything will not be replaced just shows a total lack of understanding of how science works.

JMO the motors 5 years from now will be very different than what they are today. We will have to wait and see how much REE is in them. Same is true of batteries and lithium. They may even use more REE if price performance says that is better. Remember NO EVs had PM motors just 8 years ago. People said they would never go above 75 HP the only REE motor was in a vehicle was Prius and that was because the motor was much less than 40 HP. The first Tesla model 3 with PM motors rolled off assembly line July 2017. Look At the last 5 years and think what might happen in the next 5 years. It will be exciting.

there are 905M shares outstanding. That says many people disagree with you. DYOR and figure out what they see that you do not. What I see is a market Cap of 7.86B it is way too high compared to earnings Revenue and Book value. These are the things most people measure SP on.
