You are comparing WA lithium deposits and northern Quebec lithium deposits on a one to one basis. Not sure that is a given. In the recent presentation to Red Sky (?) Chris Evans said that he thought Winsome can go mining once they had at least a 30mt to 40mt resource. In comparison Core Lithium developed a mine near Darwin with about a 15mt resource, Mt Cattlin in WA is a similar size and they kicked off when lithium prices were much lower, and Tim Spencer of Essential Metals said that as long as they had at least 7mt at their main Cade deposit in WA he is confident their project will proceed to development.

CE spoke about why he thought ASX listed lithium companies do better than TSX listed ones. One factor I'm not sure he mentioned is many / most ASX listed lithium companies have ground in WA and that lithium mining is so much more efficient in WA where there is a massive network of infrastructure and experience than in jurisdictions like Quebec that to date have not succeeded in successfully establishing a lithium sector. I suspect currently there is a price differential between WA lithium resources and lithium resources located elsewhere (of course that is part of the punt with SYA and WR1: will Quebec catch up with WA?).
