Putin has never asked for talks ,Zelensky did early and was ignored .
Recently we hear murmurs from russia but they have not asked for talks .... they simply wish to try and gain the high moral ground . They would also likely enjoy a pause in the war so they can restore and blunt Ukrainian momentum . (And yes , still momentum , Kherson will fal .)
and what Zelensky has said simply paralels what Putin has said ...annexed lands are not negotiable .
Both sides way too far apart ....if Putin does actually want talks let him call for them , and then actually be prepared to negotiate rather than simply dictate terms ....or their is absolutley no point in it (at this stage) .
