With volatile SH's, self-serving brokers and PR consultants, and a boy-scout-honour-secrets strategy from management (laser focused on carrying out a successful drill), IVZ has turned into a sitting duck for market manipulators exploiting the information vacuum.

Yes, there's a text-book case for ASX to suspend trading until material results are in. I'd be happy with that.

The only other option is frequent, regular drilling Anns from management, even if all they're doing is stating the obvious.

Now, if Scott reports 'Saul Goodman', no material problems and drill's still turning, the first buyers off the rank after the halt is lifted will look like little Einstiens.

What we do know at this point, is that while the SP has tumbled by 2/3rds of it's value, the drill reports (such as they are) point to a substantial derisking, with a solid reservoir cap intact.

We're all stressed out by this SP chaos. I can only imagine how hard this must be for Scott himself, a decent, straight-shooter with all his skin in this game, to have all these garbage MM's riding on his back.

But, as I'm reminding myself, great fortunes are made in moments of chaos, by those who keep their nerve.

Whatever, with a 1 bag downside, and many multiples on the upside, IVZ is way better than 'prudently' sitting in a blue chip for ten years, hoping to beat inflation.....
