Interest rates are only going to be continuing to go up throughout 2023 and probably 2024 Imo. based on Powell’s remarks after the raise yesterday in which he said rates will be heading a lot higher than initially expected. The UK also just hiked 75 basis points tonight.
The shift will have to take place regardless and alongside rising interest rates imo. This will likely be the catalyst of the US dollar collapsing as the housing crash in the US and wider economic crash takes place. The world still sees US bonds as a safe area to invest, but will they in a few months time? Doubtful. More patience required but I definitely don’t see EVN going down to sub 50c during these constant rate rises coming up in the next 1-2 years. Something has got to give!
