I get the impression that this is more a kit for fairly conventional PCR testing with about a 5 and half hour turn around time. I notice that Roche appear to have a rapid version (still in the PCR family) with a claimed 20 minute result time. Certainly called POC and I'm unaware of the cost of equipment which may well restrict where it could be used. However it does serve to warn those who may think multiplex testing including Covid is yet to happen!
