They don't really have a good idea of how it all works!!!
Potential investors and particularly speculators and daytraders don't like 1,000,000 share-humps in the road!!!
If a million shares were sold judiciously into a market that has not been "freaked out" by all the humps in the road, nobody would even notice!!! If the market does gain some momentum then it is easy!!! But it will never gain momentum if you forever increase its inertia. (First year university physics ; Newton's laws of motion!!!; remember??!)
