Once the US Extreme Right made their right to Alternative Facts a political issue, it is hard to tell whether the deplatforming some experienced was a political act or simply a response to them spreading disinformation and fomenting social unrest. Russian bots get the same treatment. The problem was that many users felt their feeds were being hijacked. Those people now have Truth Social to peddle their views and 4Chan has been around for them for many years.

If Twitter's business model meant that certain actors were not welcome, I think think that's fine. Letting those people back on will drive away other users and, as has happened many times before, we will see which group is the better customer base.
