I was delighted to hear Jon mention the possibility of Neuren developing NNZ-2591 past Phase 2 in any market. I would fully support any proposal to award KMP additional performance rights to pursue this objective, management would well deserve it even if they got one NNZ-2591 indication approved.

What I found most interesting is it appears Jon has a number of scenarios in mind depending on how upcoming events unfold, which gives me the impression he would be willing to stick around. For Jon to stay onboard and Neuren develop NNZ-2591 is the best situation Neuren shareholders can hope for. I understand not everyone here will feel the same especially those long timers who bought years ago. Biotech investing is an extremely long game, IMO trofinetide approval is all about laying the foundations of the company for future growth, not looking for the nearest exit because they succeeded with one indication. This is a journey worth travelling for another 4-5 years to see Neuren independently bring to market potentially 1-2 indications of which even the most weary shareholder will be incredibly satisfied. But as a counterbalance, Jon is not excluding a takeover as he said he would take into account “what is best for the shareholders”.

When you think about the possibility of Neuren bringing NNz-2591 to market, it becomes apparent that a takeover will have to be very well priced to sway Jon’s mind to forego further development. And on that note I determine takeover talk before any NNZ-2591 results come in to be premature.
