the upfront payments are small. this is for obvious reasons- the royalty is where the money is, not the upfront. You need to remember that Genlabs is gearing up with the kits and the sales, the E kit sales will take time to build up. The company will also be offered upfront for the HepA kit but will go for the royalty everytime. This is a commercial play and makes more sense longer term.
