Short of that EV owners are bludging which given the cost of new EVs,
is equivalent to middle class welfare.

On the positive side , a complete transition to EVs will save Aus about $30 billion/P/A
in imported fuel but that will likely be counterbalanced by the increased $ value of imported EVs.

This, IMO, is why we should be now positioning Aus to be a signficant green manufacturer
of EV components and, IMO, this is why Triggy is on the track with green hydrogen for our
local manufacturers. We have oodles of bauxite & copper, 2 important components of EVs

Certainly agree that if we are going to do this we need to vertically integrate & use our natural advantages.

At the moment we will stop paying revenues to the Arabs, but pay them to the Chinese (et al).
