But the issue I have raised is whether the studies can be released to the market, not the way forward to get the project off the ground.

The issue i have raised: Will the ASX stop the release of the studies which will indicate whether the project is likely to be economic?

If the ASX does prevent the release of the study, it is doing existing shareholders a disservice as the shareholders as well as the general market will not be fully informed.

If the studies indicate that the project is super economic as we expect and the studies are prevented from being released by the ASX, then this will result in the share price being suppressed from true market value.

Simultaneously the company will be forced to approach prospective partners when the share price is suppressed, with the partner probably offering an entry price to the project based on the suppressed market value - which would be a real kick in the guts to existing shareholders - all thanks to the ASX. (This would be contrary to the mandate that the ASX has - notably to ensure a fair market as well as ensuring the market is fully informed.)

As I have said, I hope I am wrong and the ASX doesn't have this power. But my memory is usually pretty good.
