Just got back from Japan this morning. Visiting Nissui (Nippon Suissen), facililities etc. Big moves in ranching from juveniles going on. Everybody (in the industry) is insanely worried over there about CITES actions on NBT esp. on European ranchers.
Japan is in a near panic re: future bluefin supply. The Burimy Kindai was created by Kinki university and Kinki is providing the technology for CSS.
Im not sure that people understand that this is a national issue for Japan, and that the Japanese Government has a vested interest in funding the CSS SBT program through Kinki!
There is much excitement at the moment regarding the current program, and the success of the latest spawning!
Kinki may not be exchanging money with Clean Seas BUT make no mistake the Japanese Government is indirectly funding this program!
